Chasing India’s huge total of 390, Sri Lanka started shakily. Sri Lanka opener Avishka Fernando was out for 1 in the second over, in the bowling of Mohammed Siraj. He was caught at slips by Shubman Gill, in the Second over. The first wicket fell, with 7 runs on the board.

Kushal Mendis was edged to the wicketkeeper of the bowling of Mohammed Siraj. Charith Asalanka was out for 1 of the bowling of Mohammad Shami caught at Point.

Nuwanidu Fernando has played a few good shots but was out of the bowling of Mohammed Siraj. Got an inside edge, and was bowled for 19 runs.
