World No.7 Spain was lucky enough to move to the Knockout Round, thanks to their higher Goal Difference than Germany. Spain lost their match against the Giant Killers of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Japan by 2-1.  Spain was in good control of the first half. Alvaro MORATA has done it for Spain, in the 11th minute of the Game.  Alvaro became the second player to score in his first three FIFA World Cup Appearances for Spain, after Telmo Zarra in 1950. Spain with a 1-0 lead at the end of the first game.

Japan walked into the field in the second half with a roaring comeback, similar to what they did against Germany. Ritsu DOAN has made the equalizer for Japan, in the 48th minute. Just in another 3 minutes, Ao TANAKA has put Japan into the lead. They defended their lead till the end. Samurai Blue, coming back from behind, defeated one of the European Foot Ball Giants. Their double strike led them to beat the 2010 champions and book Croatia’s last-16 tie. Spain will meet the Group F winner on Tuesday 6th December 2022.

Germany was out of the FIFA World Cup 2022, even though they won their match against Costa Rica by 4-2. Germany was in possession of the ball for 61%, whereas Costa Rica possessed the ball for 26%. Germany has a staggering 32 attacks at the goal, whereas Costa Rica has 7 attempts. Germany has earned 4 points out of their 3 matches, with 1 Win, 1 Loss, and 1 Draw.

The first goal of the match was scored in the 10th minute of the game by Germany’s Serge GNABRY. They were in a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half. Points: By Winning this match Uruguay has got 3 points, totaling their tally to 4 points.

Result: Both Ghana and Uruguay are out of the FIFA World Cup 2022. South Korea won their match against Portugal and stood second in the group due to goal difference. Uruguay was unlucky, even after winning their match by 2-0 they are unable to move to the Round 16.

Goals: For Uruguay, both goals were scored by Giorgian DE ARRASCAETA in the 26th minute and 32nd minute. Andre AYEW of Ghana failed score the penalty shoot in the 21st minute. The ball was pushed out safely by Uruguay goalkeeper Rochet.

Match Score: South Korea 2                        Portugal 1

Points: South Korea has got 3 full points out of this victory, totaling their points to 4. They have become the Runner up in Group H. Got a Berth in Round 16.

Match Result: South Korea has created another sensation in the FIFA World Cup 2022, by defeating much higher ranked Portugal. The stoppage time goal by South Korean HWANG, has taken Korea Republic from the bottom of Group H into second place and on to the round of 16.  This goal has sent Uruguay and Ghana to Home.

With this last-minute Goal, Korea got the Runner Up position in Group H and moved to Round 16. Korea Republic reached the Round of 16 for the first time after 2010.  

Portugal with 6 points as the Group H winner, has already qualified for the Round of 16.

Goals: For Spain, Ricardo HORTA scored the first goal of the match in the 5th minute. For Korea Republic KIM Younggwon in the 27th minute, the winning goal by HWANG Heechan in the 90+ stoppage time.
