MALAYSIA vs CHILE
Malaysia will take on Chile in the Day 4 first match. Both teams have not opened their points in the FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup. Malaysia lost its opening match with the Netherlands by 4-0. Chile lost its opening match against New Zealand by 3-1.
This match is very crucial for both teams. As the loser of this match will probably be out of the tournament.
NEW ZEALAND vs NETHERLANDS
The world no. 9 team New Zealand will take on World No.3 Netherlands in their second encounter at the FIH Hockey Mens World Cup 2023. New Zealand won their opening match against Chile by 3-1. The Netherlands thrashed Malaysia by 4-0 in their opening match.
It will be a tough task for New Zealand to contain the Netherlands, and it will be a great achievement for them if they escape with a draw in this match.
FRANCE vs SOUTH AFRICA
France the world no. 12 will play their second match against the world no. 14 South Africa. Both teams have lost their opening matches, and are with zero points. France lost the match against world no.1 Australia by a huge margin 8-0. Whereas South Africa lost their match against Argentina by 1-0.
Based on the recent match form, match form in this world cup South Africa will have an edge over France.
ARGENTINA vs AUSTRALIA
Australia hammered France with 8 goals in their opening match, whereas Argentina defeated South Africa by 1-0. Australia the World No.1 team will take on World No.7 Argentina in their second encounter at the FIH Men’s World Cup 2023.

SPAIN vs WALES
Spain lost its first match played against India by 2-0. Wales has lost its first match played against arch-rivals England by 5-0. This match is very crucial for both teams, as both teams have lost their first match, have to won this match desperately to be in the contest for the knockout stage.
Spain has outplayed Wales by winning 5-1. Spain was dominant through out the match, at half time spain was leading 2-0.

ENGLAND vs INDIA
The second match of day 3 was played between India and England. India won their match first against Spain 2-0. England thrashed their arch-rivals Wales by 5-0 in their opening encounter. Both the teams are in good form, and the winner of this match will make it to the knockout stage.
In the first quarter, England dominated the play with full control of the ball. India came into the contest in the second quarter with repeated attacks on the England Goal Post. The first half was goalless, as both teams failed to make a goal.
The second half was more intensive as India trying to score the goal relentlessly attacked the goalpost. The England Goal Keeper has done a wonderful job, saving many scoring opportunities for India.
The match ended in a draw, with both teams unable to score a goal in the stipulated time. Both teams have shared one point, and are now with 4 points. England is at the top of the table due to the higher goal difference.
England will play their final match with Spain and India will play Wales in their Final Match.
