FIFA Rankings

FIFA. / (ˈfiːfə) / n acronym for. Fédération Internationale de Football Association: the international governing body of association football. FIFA decides and declares the World Rankings for all the football playing nations. FIFA Rankings will take into consideration the ability, and skill of the football team, its recent form, its strength,  and many other factors.

In 2018 the FIFA Counsel has come up with a new model of rankings. This new model was introduced after a long period of testing, and analysis and came into force in August 2018.

The new model is named SUM by FIFA, This new version relies on adding or subtracting points won or lost for a game. The points will be debited or added from the previous point totals. In the previous version of world rankings, the procedure of averaging of game points in a given time period was normally done to decide the rankings.

The addition or subtraction of points will be partially determined by the relative strength of the participating teams. It includes logically expecting that the higher ranking teams will normally fare better against lower ranking teams.

FIFA Rankings 2022

Termed as FIFA/COCA COLA Men’s World Rankings, FIFA will frequently update these rankings.  As of now, FIFA is giving the rankings of 211 football playing nations. Following are the latest FIFA Rankings for Men, issued by FIFA.
